How do I sign up?                     

There are currently no trips available for the 2007-2008 school year.  Please check back later to see if there are trips scheduled of interest to you.

Do I have to pay?

These visits are sponsored by districts and organizations around the greater Bay Area. 

Who can attend a trip?

All educators including teachers, counselors, career specialists, and administrators are invited to participate.

Can I take my students?

As a general rule, no. These trips are meant to be professional development days for educators.

How long is the trip?

We are at the company all day. Unless otherwise noted, trips run from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Attendance for the entire day is required.

What do I need to bring?

You need to bring the pre-trip packet that will be mailed to you. The packet will contain the agenda for the day and map to the company, among other things. Writing materials would also be useful. Unless otherwise noted, the company will provide a light continental breakfast and lunch.

How can I prepare for the day?

You can prepare for the day by doing the following things:

  • Educate yourself about the company you are visiting.  There is information on the company in the pre-trip packet that will be mailed to you, or you can go online.                                       
  • Talk with your students. Educate them about the company and find out what questions they want you to ask.                                       
  • Read the Possible Questions and Job Shadow Hints fliers included in the pre-trip packet.                 
  • Bring your curiosity and prepare for a day full of learning and networking!
